​Mrs. Ericka, Co-Director, has over 20 years of experience with children. She was a day home provider for over 16 years and recently started working with the Virginia Preschool Initiative observing preschool classrooms. She has also been a substitute teacher at this site; forming relationships with teachers and enjoying time with preschoolers on their level and watching their minds grow through positive interactions. These experiences have enabled her to feel confident in co-leading this preschool. She has a wonderful loving husband, two daughters, a son and also a grandson. She enjoys coffee, playing golf and spending time in a great book. She looks forward to building lasting relationships with children and parents as we journey to ensure critical thinkers who will make a positive impact on our community and within their own lives.

Mrs. Becky, Co-Director, has been a member of Grandin Court since 2011. Becky graduated from the University of Lynchburg with a BS in Psychology with an emphasis in Childhood Behavior in 2007 and recently completed a Ministry Certification at Baylor University Truett Divinity School. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Divinity at Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. Born and raised in Halifax, Virginia, Becky moved to Roanoke after graduating with a position as a Qualified Mental Health Professional working in the county and city schools aiding children with mental and behavioral disabilities. She held this position until making the change to stay at home after the birth of her first child. Becky became the Childcare Coordinator at Grandin Court for the nursery in 2017 before becoming the Children’s Activities Coordinator in 2019. Becky is married and has 3 young children. There is a true passion for Becky to work with children in helping them to learn and grow in their faith by teaching and encouraging them that even though they are young and small they can still achieve great things in their daily lives.

Mrs. Kendall, Threes 5-Day Lead Teacher, is in her second year at GCBC and her 6th year as a classroom teacher. She studied Elementary Education at Radford University, but found her true calling in preschool after graduating. She is a mom to a four-year-old boy and a Pekingese named Benji. She enjoys spending time with my family, particularly playing video games with her husband. She looks forward to getting to know her students and their families this year!

Mrs. Angel, Three's 3-day Lead Teacher, has been teaching for over 20 years. She has her degree in Early Childhood Development. She has worked and been a part of various pre-schools throughout her teaching career. She has worked with children of all ages, birth up to school age. In her free time, she loves being able to spend time with her husband, son, and especially my sweet granddaughter.

Mrs. Farheen, Pre-K Lead Teacher, is proud to be part of Grandin Court Preschool! She is from Pakistan and received a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Masters Degree in International Relations. She finished her teaching diploma in Teaching Skills For Educators. She is certified to teach Early Childhood and Elementary Education. This will be her third year at GCBC and her first year as a Pre-K Lead Teacher. She has a true passion for working with our youngest learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that she is honored to accept. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. Her passion for education started at a young age. She spent 3 years as a 1st grade teacher in Pakistan, which developed her love for working with children. Personally, she has been married for 13 glorious years and has four fantastic children. They love to watch their kids' sports —tennis, basketball, and swim! She also enjoys reading, cooking, arts and crafts, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to working together with you as partners in your child’s growth and development!

Mrs. Nancy, Pre-K Lead Teacher, has work experience including teaching preschool in Manassas VA and HeadStart in Fairfax VA before moving back to Roanoke. She originally attended college for a Psychology degree but returned to college when her own children had grown and obtained an Associates degree in Early Childhood education. She has been married for 42 years. She is a mother of 5 boys and grandmother to 2 boys and 3 girls.

Mrs. Jazzmen, Twos Lead Teacher, is a mom of two. She has been working in childcare since she was eighteen years old. She loves being part of a child’s educational journey and helping them reach their goals. She is big on meeting your child where they are and helping them achieve and grow. She is huge fan of Orcas (killer whales). They are her favorite animal and a dream of hers is to see them in their natural habitat. She loves taking her kids on new adventures and expanding their experiences. She can't wait to do the same with her students! Your kiddos will create some great memories in Mrs. Jazz’s class!

Mrs. Kaili, Twos Assistant Teacher, has worked at the preschool for 4 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy. For over a decade, she worked as an Environmental Scientist. She grew up in a local church in which her parents were the Twos teachers for over 30 years. She worked as their assistant. She has a passion for children and helping them grow. She is married and has one child. In her free time, she loves reading, art, refinishing furniture, DIY projects, antiques, and animals.

Mrs. Heather, Assistant Teacher, is new to teaching but has been working with children most of her life. She has a passion for helping children learn and being their helping hand. She loves seeing children grow through the time spent together. She is married and has one child.
